Should I pop a pimple?

The best answer to this question is always NO because popping a pimple in the ear by yourself can allow the bacteria and dead skin cells to go deeper inside the skin and spread the affection, which may result in more blemishes as well as a temporary scar.

I know the first thought about these painful zits is to get rid of them immediately and be done with it but cracking an acne in ear might not be the best idea. So it’s best to avoid the irritation.

Why do Pimples appear in my ear?

The main reason for acne formation on any part of the body is the clogging of pores because of the excess amount of oil produced by oil glands or the trapping of dead skin cells inside hair follicles.

There are oil glands present inside our skin which continuously produce oil (or pus) and transfer it through hair follicles to the outside of the skin, sometimes these oil glands produce supplementary oil which may cause the clogging of pores.

Some other reasons of pimple formation in the ear are:

Hormonal Disorder: The reason of acne appearance can be a Hormonal imbalance, especially during Pregnancy, before period, or the age of puberty.

If this your case, consult a doctor.

Stress and Anxiety: Depression and Anxiety has a strong connection with acne formation on different parts of the body.

Learn how to reduce your stress level by yoga, meditations or talking to love and trusty ones. Taking a short walk can also help in reducing stress and blood pressure.

Allergies: Another reason of pimple development is allergic reactions to foods, medicines, and cosmetics.

Ear Buds: Many people don’t give a shit about cleaning their Microphone ear buds when used by others, believe me, these buds are notorious germs collector.

Ensure the cleaning of ear buds with a cotton pad, especially when used by others.

Helmets: Helmets can also cause acne in the ear because of the pressure applied on ears. Make sure to clean your helmets regularly after some time with a soap and warm water.

  • Must clean your helmet when used by someone other than you.

Diet: Of course food can cause acne appearance when your skin is sensitive to particular foods like fast foods, spicy foods, etc.

Make a habit of eating healthy and natural foods like Vegetables and fruits to get the vitamins your body need.
