Whether you are 13 or 33, male or female, you can get acne outbreaks every month or every week. It is not exactly limited to the age or gender. The time we say goodbye to our teenage years, we hoped that the life would be easy without pimples. But the reality is that you may still need to use the best Hormonal Acne Treatment whether it is Natural Remedies, over-the-counter products, or Prescription medicines.

Acne vs. Hormonal Acne

There’s no difference between them; both are same. Acne is used by doctors and researchers while Hormonal Acne is the term used for the same acne by normal people on the internet or the people selling Natural Remedies.

One reason they use the term “Hormonal Acne” is that Acne Breakouts mostly occur during hormonal changes, and are most common in teenagers during the period, or women during pregnancy.

What Causes Hormonal Acne

Acne is caused by clogged pores. When excess oil, dirt, and the dead skin cells team up, they block the opening of your pores (hair follicles), this gives a free hand to a gang of Propionibacteria present in your sebaceous glands to set up camp, they multiply, and make troubles for your skin.

According to Joshua Zeichner, the director of cosmetic and clinical research in the dermatology department at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, the process of pores clogging is the same whether you are 13 or 33, but adult acne pops up on different places as compared to that in teens. In adults, it typically appears on the jawline, neck, and chin while it can be seen on nose, cheeks, and forehead in teens.

Researchers have traced the cause of outbreaks to Hormonal Disorders, and “it doesn’t require a whole lot of stress to mess up with your hormones, even a small amount of stress from balancing social life to cooking dinner for your family after a hard day job can trigger acne”, says Ava Shamban, assistant clinical professor of dermatology and the author of Heal Your Skin.

In this article, we assume “Hormonal Acne” by using only “Acne.”

What Causes Excess Oil (Sebum)?

The sebaceous glands are situated deeper inside your skin when these glands start producing more than the enough amount of oil for your hair follicles to transfer it outside the skin; the pores may can’t manage to handle a lot of sebum and thus get blocked.
